Midday Mentoring
Online Monthly group mentoring sessions and creative community for artists building sustainable careers
Are you an artist dreaming of turning your creative practice into a sustainable income but not sure where to start or what steps to take next? Or are you a practising artist craving support and community?
Midday Mentoring is a relaxed, hour-long session over lunch with artist and mentor Emily Raubenheimer. Each month, Emily will guide a focused conversation around a key topic that helps artists grow professionally while staying true to their creative voice. You'll get honest advice, simple strategies, and space to ask questions—all grounded in Emily's experience as a full-time artist, former gallerist and arts educator.
Whether you're emerging, rebuilding momentum, or ready to take things to the next level, this is your chance to connect, reflect, and plan in good company.
When: First Friday of each month, 12:00–1:00 pm (Melbourne time) Upcoming 2025 Dates: May 2, Aug 1, Oct 3, Nov 7, Dec 5. Delivered online via zoom.
What we’ll cover
Each session is shaped by the group's needs—this is a collaborative, community-focused space where artists can support one another. When you book, you’ll be invited to share the questions or challenges you’re facing right now. Emily will choose one or two key questions to focus on each month, based on what’s most relevant or commonly raised.
Topics might include:
How do I price my work confidently and fairly?
Where should I be selling my art—and how do I get started?
How can I promote my work without it feeling icky?
What kind of artist do I want to be, and how do I stay focused?
How do I stay creatively energised while trying to grow a business?
No jargon, no pressure—just thoughtful support and tools you can use immediately.
